As the generations of survivors moved on, much of the knowledge of humanity was lost.  As the rapidly evolving strains of humanity crawled from the rubble, we looked to the remains of the past and tried to imagine the lives of our ancestors.  The strange religious icons that promised answers, the melted and rusted technology, the remains of a culture so foreign that it seems impossible.
